In Stillness

Welcome yourself here. In Stillness. In breath. In the sacred pause between breaths.
One of the reasons I protect my Sundays and Mondays is because they remind me who I am when I stop trying to become someone else.
I sleep a little longer. I drink my coffee a little slower. I wander into nature without needing a destination. I breathe. I listen.
In a world that celebrates constant movement, I've discovered that some of the most important journeys begin the moment we stop.
So today, I'd like to offer you a simple invitation.
When it feels right, pause. Breathe. Listen.
Not only to the sounds around you, but to the quiet wisdom within.
Pause, soften, and gently close your eyes.
Perhaps allow a warm feeling of compassion, wholeness, tenderness, and belonging to wash over you like a gentle summer rain... or the comforting embrace of a warm bath.
For a few moments, simply be still. Nothing to solve. Nothing to fix. No one to become.
Just this moment.
Begin to cultivate your breath.
Take a slow, deep, beautiful inhale. Then a long, unhurried exhale.
Again.
Allow each breath to invite you a little deeper into yourself.
Continue for eight slow breaths.
Then, after your final exhale, simply rest. Be breathless.
Notice the space before the next inhale arrives.
Trust that your body already knows when to breathe again. There is nothing you need to control.
Allow yourself to drop from your thinking mind into your body. Into your heart. Into your belly.
Welcome yourself here. In Stillness. In breath. In the sacred pause between breaths.
Say hello to your body. Offer gratitude to this extraordinary companion that has carried you through every joy, every challenge, every chapter of your life.
Relish your fullness. Your warmth. Your aliveness. Your connection.
If Stillness is a destination, then pausing and breathing are the gentle vehicles that carry us there.
Stillness isn't the absence of life. It's where life finally has room to speak.
