Welcome to your Doorway...

I believe some of the most meaningful changes in our lives begin with a doorway — a moment when we realize the life we have been living may no longer be the life we are meant to continue living.

Queer Escape & Reboot & The Seven Doorways

The experience brought six travelers together for an immersive journey focused on breathwork, emotional healing, and queer communal living across two locations in Spain: the mountainous estate of Terra Rosa outside Barcelona and the Ashram Villa Sunshine in Sitges. Feedback from attendees and the program framework details the following impact:

  • The "Seven Doorways" Framework: The retreat was structured around a seven-part progression—Stillness, Remembering, Letting Go, Knowing, Becoming, Expansion, and Giving. Attendees—including Konner, Gerry, Kevin, Edmundo, Derreck, and Jonathan—reported using the breathwork practice to systematically move through these stages to process personal trauma and release emotional blockages.

  • Communal Living & Safety: A core highlight from the participants was the profound sense of safety found within the 100-acre mountain setting of Terra Rosa. The environment successfully fostered vulnerable, cross-generational queer connection without the societal pressures of performance or judgment.

  • Post-Retreat Integration: Following the conclusion of the event, guests noted feeling deeply recharged. The intentional structure allowed participants to ground their nervous systems before transitioning back into their daily lives.

My work Includes:

• The Seven Doorways — Stillness, Remembering, Letting Go, Knowing, Becoming, Expansion, and Giving/Sharing — a framework for exploring transition and transformation.

• Queer Escape & Reboot — immersive retreats for gay, bi, and queer men combining breathwork, embodiment, reflection, community, travel, and meaningful connection.

• Chosen Family Wellness — personalized companionship, wellness, life support, and connection for gay, bi, and queer men who value independence while recognizing that none of us are meant to navigate life entirely alone.

• Individual Wellness & Transformational Work — including breathwork, coaching, somatic practices, intimacy and embodiment work, and individualized immersive experiences.

Increasingly, I am also interested in mentoring other wellness practitioners and emerging healers who want to develop more embodied, relational, and human-centered approaches to their work.

After years of helping people navigate transitions within established systems, I am intentionally building something of my own: spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, be witnessed, and discover what may be waiting on the other side of their next doorway.

I’m Chad Putman, MSW, a social worker, wellness practitioner, breathwork facilitator, retreat guide, and creator of The Seven Doorways, a transformational framework designed to help gay, bi, and queer men navigate change with greater awareness, embodiment, courage, and connection.

My professional journey began in social work and behavioral health, supporting people through crisis, transition, recovery, and some of life’s most vulnerable moments. Over time, my work expanded beyond traditional systems of care into coaching, breathwork, somatic and embodiment practices, retreats, sacred intimacy, and transformational wellness.

In 2026 I completed the Awakened Breath & High Impact Healer Certification, which gave me a body of breathwork facilitation skills, structure and confidence that has helped me to more fully step into the wellness work that has been calling me.

Today, through Make Your It Happen, I create experiences that invite people to move beyond simply talking about change and begin experiencing it — through the body, breath, reflection, connection, and intentional action.

QE&Reboot Reviews

"Recently went on a retreat facilitated by Chad and have nothing but good things to say. It was educational, relaxing, new, and inspirational. Would definitely recommend." - Konner Simmons via Google Review (5 stars)

"Chad Putman is an amazing guide, spiritual healer, and spiritual teacher. His ability to create a safe and authentic space allowed me to explore parts of myself I had never experienced before. Through breathwork, meditation, body mapping, new experiences, and deep connection, I was able to open doors within myself that revealed areas where I still have room to grow, heal, and become more authentic.

One of the greatest gifts of this journey was the community. I came as one person and left with lifelong friends and connections that I know will stay with me. I had the opportunity to practice gratitude, authenticity, and the freedom to simply be myself—without judgment, without fear, and without having to hide any part of who I am." - Edmundo Alveraz

"Enjoy the contents inside the box. Just a gesture of gratitude, appreciation, and fondness to you for agreeing to be part of my life’s story and supporting me over the past several months…year almost. My work with you has truly transformed my life and has helped me get reacquainted with the real Johnny and knowing that I’m enough. Some days harder than others but it is my mantra. Emerson defined Success as …”knowing that one life is breathing easier because of you…” You ARE a Success. Thank you for helping me breathe again." Johnny/John

eyes wide open breathwork.jpg

Eyes Wide Open was a workshop I hosted on Saturday, August 30 at 8pm at the Ybor Restore Yoga Studio in Tampa. Attendees experienced the power of ecstatic movement, breathwork and guided meditation. Breathwork has been a power force in my life and I love to share the gift of breath and presence with others. Our bodies do so much for us. Ecstatic movement and guided meditation is a power way to drop into our bodies, and re-experience what it means to be alive, at peace and one with all.

"I attended Chad's guided meditation and breathwork class at Ybor Restore Yoga Studio and it was a completely different experience from any meditation I've tried before. I've always struggled to quiet my mind, but Chad's guidance and breathwork made nearly two hours [ass with ease. The smaller class setting felt open and nonjudgmental, and I left with a sense of clarity I hadn't been able to find on my own. I'm grateful for the experience. Thank you Chad! Highly recommended!"  - Rick

"It was amazing! I left very in tune with my body, my breath, and my goals." - Ralph

“Your class was inspirational and taught me breathing techniques (like fire breathing) that I had never heard of before! I'd like to learn more ways to incorporate breathwork into my daily life as a way to cope with stress and anxiety. Thanks for the introduction to this method of stress relief, and I hope to attend more classes in the future!"

- Christopher

“I had the opportunity to attend the meditation and breath work class with Chad the other evening. During the class, I was able to get in touch with emotions and see the hope that I hold within myself. The breathwork allowed me to focus on the energy inside of me and the control I can have when I focus, and the meditation allowed me to release the tensions and fears within me as I relaxed and just “was”. Thank you Chad - Dave
